HealthNet

HealthNet is a collective voice representing the people of South Tyneside to debate, influence and shape local health and wellbeing policies and services.

Membership
Membership is free and open to any voluntary and community organisation or resident of South Tyneside who have a health and social care interest. You will be made very welcome.

Meetings
Meetings are held on the first Friday of every month at St Jude’s Church Hall, St Jude’s Terrace, Laygate, South Shields NE33 4QN from 10.00 until 12.00 noon.

Information Sharing
We provide a two-way flow of information relating to health and social care issues between the voluntary and community sector and the statutory organisations.

Health and Wellbeing information is distributed to all members via email. This varies from strategic and consultation documents to raising awareness of events.  You can email us with information about your groups events and we will disseminate across the network.

You can also distribute leaflets and or posters at our monthly meetings.

Monthly presentations are given representing statutory bodies and the third sector.  Groups are invited to take part to inform members of their work enabling partnerships to be formed.

Representation
The Chair/Vice Chairs represent the third sector by attending both statutory and non-statutory meetings where they are the voice of the third sector.  They disseminate information to members through the HealthNet channels.

Networking
Attending HealthNet meetings is a great opportunity to network and meet other groups or individuals who are passionate about health and wellbeing Services.
